If you need to replace the gas lift, five-star base, or seat mechanism, but find that the parts are tightly connected and difficult to separate, please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure a Safe Working Environment
Place the chair on its side or secure it properly on a stable, flat surface before starting.
It is recommended to wear protective gloves to avoid hand injuries during disassembly.
2. Disassembly Method
If the gas lift is tightly connected to the seat mechanism or the five-star base, use a rubber mallet to gently tap around the connection points to loosen them.
If you don’t have a rubber mallet, you may use a regular hammer, but make sure to wrap the hammerhead with a soft cloth, towel, or other cushioning material to prevent scratches or dents on the parts.
Control the tapping force — use several gentle taps instead of one strong hit.
3. After Disassembly
Check the removed parts for damage, deformation, or oil stains.
Before installing new parts, ensure that all connection points are clean and dry.
If the parts still cannot be separated after several attempts, please contact our after-sales support team for further assistance.
