To maintain the appearance and extend the lifespan of your Atlas series chair, please follow the cleaning methods appropriate for different parts.
1️⃣ Aluminum Parts (Handrails, Five-Star Base)
Avoid using cleaners containing strong acids or strong alkalis.
Prepare soft cleaning tools, such as clean soft cotton cloths, microfiber cloths, or soft-bristle brushes.
Every 2–3 months, you may wax polished aluminum parts to protect the surface and enhance shine.
Waxing Steps:
Choose wax suitable for aluminum, such as an aluminum-specific automotive wax.
Apply wax evenly on the aluminum surface using a soft cloth in a circular motion, ensuring a thin and even layer.
Wait for the wax to dry, then gently wipe with a clean cloth to bring out the shine.
💡 The wax layer forms a protective film on the aluminum surface, helping to resist dust, dirt, and light scratches while enhancing gloss.
2️⃣ PU Handrail Surface
Prepare a mild cleaner, such as a neutral detergent or a specialized PU cleaner.
Prepare a clean, soft, damp cloth or sponge. A microfiber cloth is recommended as it is soft, absorbent, and lint-free, allowing effective cleaning without scratching the surface.
Cleaning Steps:
Apply a few drops of cleaner (e.g., dishwashing liquid) onto the damp cloth or sponge and gently rub to create foam.
Gently wipe the stained area along the grain of the handrail (if visible) to avoid uneven wear.
For stubborn stains, apply light pressure carefully.
After cleaning, use another clean damp cloth or sponge to remove any cleaner residue, ensuring the surface is free of foam or stains.
3️⃣ Upholstered Fabric Surfaces
Prepare a mild detergent, such as a fabric-specific cleaner or mild neutral detergent.
Prepare two clean white soft cloths or sponges. Using white cloth prevents color transfer from affecting the chair fabric.
Localized Stain Cleaning:
Apply a few drops of cleaner on the stain and gently rub with a soft cloth or sponge.
Wipe from the edge toward the center of the stain to avoid spreading.
For stubborn stains, let the cleaner sit for a few minutes to penetrate and break down the stain.
Use a clean damp cloth to remove cleaner residue, blotting excess water to prevent over-wetting the fabric.
Full Cleaning (for multiple stains):
Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing warm water with the appropriate amount of cleaner (approximate ratio 1:10).
Soak a large soft cloth or sponge in the solution and wring until it is not dripping.
Starting from the top of the chair, wipe the seat → backrest → armrests in order.
Wipe again with a clean damp cloth to remove any remaining cleaner.
Allow the chair to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
✅ Tips & Precautions
Test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area before full use.
Avoid hard brushes, steel wool, or cleaners containing strong acids or alkalis, as they may damage the chair surface.
